I’m not really interesting.
I’m Queer. 19. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I do a lot with computers. I blog about politics because I hate apathy. I love reading and writing. I want to build sustainable housing everywhere. I play instruments and sing sometimes. I want to be a journalist and an urban planner and a lawyer and an astronaut with social work, mediation and harm reduction skills. I am a street medic (meaning I have basic first aid training as well as knowledge of how to deal with things like pepper spray, safe injection). I have ADHD, PTSD and learning disabilities.

See here’s the deal, I like to explain why I called you a name when I call you out on your oppressive bullshit. More likely then not, I have explained to you already why what you said is oppressive in my reblog of your post, I’d advise you to go back and reread and think real carefully about what I have said before you continue to argue. I also really like to provide links, so if your still not understanding, follow those links, or google the words you don’t understand.
If you still aren’t grasping the concept that you have privilege and/or the things you say have consequences then feel free to ask me questions, however if you choose to ask me questions, be prepared to fucking listen. My time is precious. When you waste my time you waste yours as well. Be prepared to think.
Make no mistake though, I am not your debate partner and I do have a limit to how much time I will waste on you before I cut you out. Do not debate me unless you can provide solid evidence in the form of links, content that is easily googleable and/or otherwise easily accessible sources. Anecdotes through the lens of privileged glasses are useless, don’t use them.
Now that that’s out of the way:
Where does your URL come from?
It started as an inside joke between me and some non-tumblr people and snuck its way into my everyday vocabulary and when I made tumblr I wanted something that people wouldn’t forget and “pewpewlasernipples” just kinda worked.
When did you start being an “activist”?
I get this question all the damn time in real life and I never want to see it in my askbox ever so I’m answering it now. First of all, I loathe with a damn passion the term “activist”, “slactivist” and “hackivist” the same way I loathe the term “Tumblr SJ”. All 4 terms have been applied by somebody to me at some point and I can’t say I’ve ever enjoyed it.
Anywho, I don’t really know when I started. My email account was hacked by Stratfor who was hired by Dow to get information on Students for Bhopal members (a group I was a part of at the time) in 2008. I joined the SPCA 2005 and left in 2007. At the same time I supported several other groups but none as active as my time with the SPCA. These are in the early days and I kind of lost track of all the groups I’ve participated in and out of over the years after that.
However, none of these starting points are accurate because I’m actually a cyborg programmed by concerned Canadians. I was created in the event that Canada was ever taken over by a conservative government who is as careless as they are money hungry. As soon as said concerned Canadians saw the potential to destroy Canada in Stephen Harper when he was elected as an MP in ‘93, they got to work building me to overthrow the future Conservative government. They completed building me in 1994, and it’s taken almost two decades to activate me and work all the bugs out of my programming.
